I have here, my “little” miscellaneous bag, filled with miscellany type thingies, from which we’ll get a subject today… or not, depends on the mood it’s in (yes, the bag has a mood of its own, don’t ask). So, shall we?
People sometimes ask me “Why do you act silly? Can’t you be more serious? Act your age!” And I ask them back "Why?" or just give them a not so pretty answer that involves the use of not so pretty words. Not a long time ago, I used to be all grumpy (in some days, I still am) but then, I stumbled upon this quote “Don’t take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive” (by Elbert Hubbard), and it hit me.. he was freaking right! (I don’t want to sound like a smartass, I just like quotes… To be honest, I didn’t know about who Elbert Hubbard was before this). I can't say it was easy changing from the always grumpy one to the "goofy almost the entire time" one, but the fact that I didn't want to be the "grumpy friend" anymore, kept me going; it also gave me a whole new view on life.
So, what did Hubbard mean? Really simple actually: don't go through life worrying about every little freaking thing that comes in your way. Instead you should laugh, smile and have fun because your time on this Earth is limited, so why not make the best out of it, huh? Told you, pretty straight forward :D.
Oh, so I don’t forget, what quotes do you like? And why? Don’t be shy, comment, we won’t bite :D.. And try acting silly from time to time, might do wonders for you and the people around you! :D

ReplyDeleteAsta m-a eliberat de multe tensiuni. Am inteles intr-adevar ca unde sunt acum, este exact unde trebuie sa fiu si ca alte ganduri sau regrete, nu au ce cauta.
Amuzant a fost acum ceva timp, cand tot citeam diverse fraze intelepte, sa dau peste una care spunea doar atat : "NU" si scria si numele autoarei. Eu, care ziceam mereu DA, aveam probleme mari in a refuza oamenii, pur si simplu nu puteam, desi acest lucru imi provoca anger ! Vazand acest simplu "NU", fara alte fraze, fara subtilitati si aberatii, mi s-a parut genial. Pur si simplu este NU ! Fara nimic altceva, just NO ! Astfel am invatat sa spun "nu" celorlalti si "da" mie ! ;)
